Useful Tips |
| Safety - by Pedro from San Diego |
| Watch for pedastrians whenever you drive in Tijuana. They quite often just go on red light, I noticed on several occasions, and usually outside the pedastrian crossings and also not in the shortest way! |
Tijuana Overview |
| This is a blatantly decadent city catering to every whim of its blatantly decadent gringo tourists. Offering the annual 30,000 million or so visitors every which way to blow their cash on drinking, gambling or shopping, in Las Vegas style hotels, sleazy strip joints, dingy dance clubs, and a ritzy jai alai palace. But hey, if that is what floats your boat, ignore the Mother Grundy’s and set sail for a trip of your life, Tijuana’s waiting for you. |

Tijuana Essentials |
Jai Alai – Played in the magnificent Fronton Palacio, this games is considered the fastest known to man, with the Brazilian ball, of goatskin covered rubber and yarn, reaching up 180
mph.
Parque Tenniento Guerrero – This leafy park provides relief from the sun, and the throngs, offering a safe haven to relax in and recover for the next round of fun.
LA Cetto Winery – The wine produced here is made from grapes grown in the Valle de Guadalupe, and guided tours of the winery allow visitors to do a spot of wine tasting.
Mexitian – Over 200 intricate miniatures of famous historical, cultural or religious monuments are displayed on a vast field
Bullfighting – There are two rings available for this ‘sport’ with the El Toreo de Tijuana being the older, and Plaza Monumental more modern, where famous matadores are employed. |

Tijuana Calendar - Pick of the Year's Events |
Carnival – (February) Held in various towns throughout Mexico with masked dancers & street parades.
Bullfighting – August/September) Watch renowned matadors fighting the bulls for six weeks of Corridas de Toros.
